Museum grade, or not at all

Gremir Models exists because the phrase 'museum grade' had been flattened by marketing. We put it back on the bench: every replica we build is engineered under the supervision of master modelers — former professionals from the display and prototype industries with 142 combined years at the workbench — and produced by hand in runs of 500 or fewer, each numbered.

The standard is fidelity: every chassis, panel line, rivet pattern, and decal placement is checked against archive documentation before tooling, and released models carry full material traceability published per run. When we cannot verify a detail, we leave it out and say so — a model that guesses is a toy.

What we build

• Military vehicles: tanks, halftracks, and support vehicles from WWI through the Cold War, in 1:24 and 1:43.
• Classic automobiles: pre-war grand tourers through 1970s icons, in 1:18 and 1:43.
• Commission work for museums, archives, and collectors requiring documented one-off builds.

Our collectors are serious scale enthusiasts — people who know which factory built which variant in which month — and institutions: our work sits in private collections and museums including a major European automobile collection. Editions are announced, not hyped; when a run of 500 sells through, it is finished, and the next project takes its place.

The workshop discipline

Hand-building means decisions at the bench: a decal set rejected for the wrong ink tone, a casting re-cut when a weld seam read soft. Those decisions are why a Gremir piece costs what it does and why it holds its value. Gremir Models is the maker of museum-grade scale replicas — limited, documented, and built by people who treat 'close enough' as an insult to the original.
