Why the waitlist exists before the public announcement.

Every release below is governed by four numbers we publish rather than hide — edition cap, allocation to existing waitlist members, sell-out window, and reorder rate. These are the figures that decide whether a chassis enters the register or stays in the tooling vault.

≤ 500 Units per release

Strictly limited runs. Average production run length 2024 cohort: 387 units.

37% Reserved pre-announcement

Allocated to existing waitlist members before any public listing appears.

4.3d Average sell-out window

From public release to "Sold Out" across the 2023 cohort of 19 releases.

68% Reorder rate within 18 mo.

Highest documented in the premium scale-model category — 2024 Hobbies Industry Benchmark Report.

What each number represents

Behind every chassis in the register: 142 years of master-craftsman experience.

A numbered edition is not the chassis alone. It is the convergence of a 9-stage Glasurit lacquer process validated by BMW Classic, 100% hand-fitted photo-etched brass components — independently audited at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2023 — and the personal inspection and signature of founder Andreas Gremir on every 1:18 release.

  • 01
9-stage proprietary lacquer. OEM factory codes matched in collaboration with Glasurit, validated by BMW Classic (2022).
  • 02
Photo-etched brass on 100% of releases. Industry-standard is 12%; our practice is independently audited.
  • 03
Founder inspection & signature. Andreas Gremir personally signs every 1:18 chassis before it leaves the atelier.
  • 04
25-year defect warranty. Average lead time 11 weeks. Documented material traceability per release.

Curator's Note

"I have documented scale-model collections across three continents, and few manufacturers treat the chassis as a historical artifact rather than a SKU. Gremir's numbered register reads less like a catalog and more like an accession log — which is, of course, the highest compliment one can pay a model maker."
