Heritage & Partnerships

Validated by the institutions that define automotive and military history.

Fourteen national museums, an OEM paint collaboration, a third-party craft audit, and a carbon-neutral production facility — the institutions that hold the world's most demanding standards have placed Gremir Models in their permanent circle of trust.

Museum Partners

Fourteen national museums. Three flagship institutions below.

From permanent collection commissions to rotating exhibit loans, museums select Gremir because the level of fidelity is indistinguishable from the original chassis — and survives a decade under display lighting.

Technical Validators

Four named collaborations that independently verify every craft claim.

Gremir's reputation is not built on marketing language. It rests on partnerships with the organisations whose standards govern paint, OEM fidelity, environmental compliance, and independent audit in our trade.

  1. 01

    Paint chemistry · Collaboration

Glasurit — proprietary nine-stage lacquer process.

Developed jointly with Glasurit (BASF) and validated by BMW Classic in 2022, our nine-stage lacquer process is matched to OEM factory codes — including historically accurate 1960s and 1970s pigments — and cured under controlled humidity to suppress orange peel on every panel.

Validated 2022 · Co-developed in Münster, applied in Gröbenzell

  2. 02

    OEM fidelity · Validation

BMW Classic — approved reference modeler.

BMW Classic has approved Gremir as a reference modeler for the marque's heritage division, granting access to original factory drawings, period-correct material specifications, and certified finish samples for the 507, 2002, M1, and 3.0 CSL programmes.

Approved 2022 · Reference for 14 BMW Classic projects

  3. 03

    Independence · Craft audit

Nuremberg Toy Fair independent audit, 2023.

An independent audit at the 2023 Nuremberg Toy Fair confirmed that 100 % of Gremir releases carry hand-fitted photo-etched brass components — against an industry-standard rate of 12 % — establishing Gremir's structural-difference claim beyond any internal assertion.

  4. 04

    Sustainability · Certification

    TÜV Süd carbon-neutral certified production.

Production in our 14,500 sq ft atelier in Gröbenzell has been carbon-neutral certified by TÜV Süd since 2021, with full material traceability published per release. The certification covers electricity, lacquer solvents, foundry subcontracting, and outbound logistics across all 47 customer countries.

Institutional & Corporate

Beyond the private collector. Gremir supplies at B2B scale.

Four partnership archetypes demonstrate that our craftsmanship moves fluidly between private salon, museum vitrine, prop department, boardroom, and reenactment field. Each engagement is run from the atelier with a single named project lead.

Archetype 02 · Film & television

Prop masters and production designers.

Hero-prop scale models for film and prestige television — close-up continuity models built to be rigged, weathered, and destroyed on camera. Two working prototypes per asset: one master, one stunt copy.

  • NDA project files standard
  • On-set technical liaison
  • Per-asset provenance log

Archetype 03 · Corporate gifting

Board-level gifts and commemorative runs.

Numbered corporate runs (minimum 25 units) for chairman transitions, retirement milestones, and centenary commemorations. Each unit engraved with the recipient's name and delivered in a presentation case with a signed certificate.

  • Minimum order — 25 units
  • Personalisation — engraving, plaque
  • Delivery — insured white-glove

Archetype 04 · Historical reenactment

Military vehicle specialists and reenactors.

Tactical-grade replicas of WWII and Cold War-era vehicles for serious historical reenactment groups and living-history museums. Reference photography and regimental markings cross-checked against archival holdings.

  • Regimental markings verified
  • Field-handling finishes available
  • Direct supply to event organisers

From the bench

"The museums did not come to us because we advertised well. They came because a curator held a model under a loupe, turned it over twice, and could not find the seam between replica and original. That moment — repeated one hundred and forty-two times over the course of a career — is what a partnership is made of."
